State-of-the-art Personal Learning Centre opening Summer 2009
100% commitment, 100% success is our promise to students and partners; and it is why we are continuing to invest and grow our premier facilities in the heart of the World’s most prestigious University City – Cambridge.
In Summer 2009, we will be proud to open our Personal Learning Centre, Myers Hall, a new building dedicated to the concept of ‘personalised learning’.
The state-of-the-art new centre will be the jewel in the crown of the CATS Cambridge and Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts (CSVPA) campus, surrounded by the Colleges of Cambridge University.
Personalised learning is what CATS Cambridge and CSVPA does exceptionally well. It is a concept that is evident in everything we do – our teaching, our support and care.
Our unique promise: the 'Contract of Achievement'
Through a unique, highly tailored approach, a Contract of Achievement is agreed between each individual student and staff. This contract is a promise and it guarantees:
• Independent Learning Plans, tailored to each student’s needs
• personal tutor contact every day
• weekly reporting and testing
• free unlimited tuition if needed
• intensive Academic English.
Providing superb facilities is part of our promise, and Myers Hall respresents a strong commitment to this approach. Alongside an extensive range of resources - academic journals in print and online, books, DVDs, computer suites - the new centre will also be the main location for supervised study on campus.
Staffed by qualified librarians, the Centre will be open from 8am to 7pm everyday and at weekends to meet the needs and demands of our student population.
