Why study drama at CSVPA?

We are acknowledged to be one of the best drama schools offering foundation drama in the UK. Our longstanding association with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) provides us with a unique opportunity to offer an intensive three term theatre training programme in Cambridge whilst giving direct contact with the London theatre industry.

Under the mentorship and guidance of our RADA accredited lecturing staff, who are themselves practicing theatre professionals, our students train in a variety of disciplines and are challenged to grow both professionally and personally.

Charlie Russell, Drama Foundation Charlie RussellPerformance short from Murder in the Cathedral, 2008

"I was so impressed with the course, and how much time is spent on helping the students with auditions for drama schools. I was keen on moving away from home [as] I felt this would add to my maturity when I applied for drama schools.

The affiliation with RADA gave an assurance that the standard of teaching would be high, and when I auditioned I got on well with the Course Director.

Charlie graduated from the course in June 2008 and attained the lead role in a National Youth Theatre Production. After reaching the Reserve list for RADA she accepted a place at LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art).
